Andoni Iraola is officially Liverpool manager
Liverpool have officially appointed Andoni Iraola as the new manager of the Anfield team.

Iraola comes to the helm of the Reds as the successor to Arne Slot, who left the team's management after two seasons on the bench and has signed a two-year contract with the English club.

His appointment comes after a highly regarded period at the helm of Bournemouth, where he stayed for three years and managed to make history by qualifying the club for the first time in European competitions.

The 2025/26 season also marked the end of his adventure on the south coast of England, with his work widely praised for raising the team's level and competitiveness in the Premier League.

Bournemouth finished the championship in sixth place, just three points behind Liverpool, which further emphasized the Spanish coach's influence on the English football elite.

Now, Iraola takes charge of one of the biggest clubs in Europe, with the objective of returning Liverpool to the race for trophies and building long-term stability at Anfield.
