Former Montenegrin police chief banned from entering Serbia

Former Montenegrin Police Director Nikola Terzic has been banned from entering Serbia at the request of the Serbian Intelligence and Security Agency (BIA), according to Montenegrin media reports.

Terzic confirmed that the decision was handed to him after a four-hour wait at the Špilani border crossing, while he was traveling to Serbia, where he teaches at the university.

"Last night, after four hours of waiting at the Špiljan border crossing, I was handed a decision prohibiting me from entering Serbia - for reasons of protecting the security of the Republic of Serbia and its citizens. I think this decision has harmed the citizens of Serbia, because today and tomorrow, third and fourth year students had their final exams. I am surprised and truly disappointed by this decision of the state authorities of the Republic of Serbia," Terzic told the newspaper "Vijesti".
