New details have emerged from the investigations into Violand Braçellari, the suspected perpetrator of the attack that took the life of Police Officer Enea Mekolli and injured his colleague Edison Adri in Lozhan, Maliqi.

During a search of the 43-year-old's apartment, police seized a Kalashnikov assault rifle, suspected to be the one used during the clash with police forces. In addition, significant quantities of combat ammunition were also seized.

Investigators have also discovered radio communications similar to those used by police structures, surveillance binoculars and several drones, which have been sent for expertise in order to determine their function and use.

According to sources, just one day before the fatal operation, on June 3, Braçellari was reported to the police by a shepherd who had been working in his stables for about two weeks. The complaint alleged that the 43-year-old had threatened him with his life and refused to pay him for the work he had done.

The verifications carried out revealed that Braçellari had previously had problems with the law. In 2004, he reported for military service in the Armed Forces, but after only three days he left and never returned to the unit, which led to the opening of proceedings against him.

Meanwhile, investigations continue to fully uncover the 43-year-old's activities and the circumstances that led to the tragic event in which the "Eagles" officer, Enea Mekolli, lost his life.
