Violand Braçellarit, who killed the policeman in Maliq, received funds

New details come to light about the suspected perpetrator of the murder of police officer Enea Mokolli.

According to News 24, the suspected perpetrator, Violand Braçellari, a 41-year-old man considered a high-risk person and wanted for nine years, is suspected of having benefited from public funds through AZHBR support schemes for the development of livestock activities.

This is precisely the cattle stables where the armed clash with police forces took place.

According to preliminary information, Braçellari was hiding in this environment and, during the police intervention, opened fire with an automatic weapon on the officers. The attack killed 36-year-old police officer Enea Mokolli on the spot, while his colleague, Edison Adri, was injured.

Sources claim that Braçellari has been a beneficiary of subsidies in the agriculture and livestock sector, although it has not yet been confirmed whether the funds were received in his name or in the name of his mother.

The incident has raised strong questions about the mechanisms for verifying beneficiaries of public funds. It remains unclear how a person wanted by the judiciary for years, and whose capture was also committed by the elite structures of RENEA, could have resulted in being a beneficiary of state support schemes.
