After the Italy-Karaburun record, Eva Buzo swims across the island of Sazan

Albanian-Australian lawyer and swimmer Eva Buzo has returned to the coast of Vlora, where she has undertaken another sporting challenge in the open waters of the Ionian Sea.

This time, she started swimming from the Radhima area with destination Sazan Island, completing a full lap around Albania's largest island. Initially accompanied by the support team and sea safety structures, Buzo then continued the main part of the itinerary alone, crossing the Sazan coastline, which extends for about 15 kilometers.

The challenge took place in open sea conditions, where factors such as wind, currents and water temperature required high physical endurance and constant concentration. Her effort was considered a significant test of endurance in long-distance swimming, a discipline that requires advanced preparation both physically and psychologically.

It is not the first time that Buzo has chosen Vlora as the stage for her sporting challenges. Two years ago, she gained widespread public attention after a long swim from the coast of Italy to the Karaburun area, an itinerary that was considered an important achievement in her career and a direct promotion of the Albanian coastline.
