Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has criticized the project to build a tower near the Palace of Congresses, emphasizing that her opposition is not related to nostalgia for the communist period, but to the protection of public interest and property belonging to citizens.

Through a reaction on social media, Tabaku stated that the debate should focus on the way public property is administered and not on the symbolism of objects from the past.

She accused the Investment Corporation of treating state properties as if they were private property, while raising concerns about the lack of transparency in projects affecting public spaces.

According to her, similar cases are being repeated in other areas of the country, increasing the need for more control and accountability in the management of public assets.
