DP leader Sali Berisha is holding a meeting with 71 young men and women elected to the DP National Council, as part of the "RENOVATION" initiative.

Also part of the meeting is MEP Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, who spoke about Albania's integration into the European Union, stating that there is broad support in the union, but according to him, some experts raise doubts regarding the way Rama represents the country in European institutions.

The MEP brought up the example of Spain, where the socialist government is facing justice, to show that today, in the EU, there are very few socialist governments, which shows that the people are tired of false socialism.

"Albania is there. But all the experts agree: Albania should be a member of the European Union. There is no doubt about that. The fear they express is: can we have this Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, in the European Councils? This was not said by politicians, it was said by experts.

I was reflecting on this because I come from Spain. And there we have a Prime Minister, a socialist, his wife, his brother, three ministers and the former Prime Minister Zapatero is in front of the judges today. Unfortunately I see some similar trends. These so-called socialist parties, I think, have the same problem inside and outside the European Union. And we are suffering from this.

What happens within the European Union has a consequence. How many socialist governments are there in the European Union today? Anyone? How many socialist governments are there in Europe? Spain and Malta. Denmark is now forming a new government, maybe they lost it. So it's just Spain and Malta. This shows you that European societies are tired of socialism, fake socialism, because it's fake. They don't protect workers. They protect themselves," the MEP said.
