According to reports from the German camp, the 39-year-old is dealing with calf problems, an injury he suffered at the end of the season with Bayern Munich against Cologne. Due to this problem, he also missed the German Cup final, which the Bavarians won against Stuttgart.

His situation has put coach Julian Nagelsmann in a difficult position, who considers Neuer one of the key elements of the team.

If recovery does not go according to plan in the coming days, there is a possibility that the German goalkeeper will not play a single minute before the start of the tournament, raising concerns about his form in such an important competition.
