The National Cyber ​​Security Authority (AKSK) has identified a new fraud campaign that is circulating through SMS messages, which appear as notifications for unpaid traffic fines.

The messages contain suspicious links that redirect users to pages that imitate the official e-Albania platform, with the aim of acquiring personal data, credentials, and banking information.

According to the official announcement, these messages aim to create panic among citizens by urging them to immediately click on the sent link and make payments on fake pages, which appear similar to institutional platforms.

AKSK announces that it has immediately taken the necessary measures, referring the case to the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes at the State Police, as well as to the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), to block the domains and IP addresses used in this malicious activity.

The National Cyber ​​Security Authority (AKSK) has identified a fraud campaign through SMS messages, which appear as notifications for unpaid traffic fines and redirect users to pages that imitate the official e-Albania platform with the aim of acquiring personal data, credentials and banking information.

AKSK has taken the necessary measures by referring to the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes at the State Police, as well as to AKEP, the domains and IP addresses used in this malicious activity for the appropriate blocking measures to be taken.

 

The messages contain suspicious links that aim to steal personal data, credentials, and banking information.
