A day ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama attacked bloggers and influencers, who have been numerous in the protests demanding his resignation.

The head of government, while mimicking them, also said that they do everything for clicks and to get money, while they do not pay any taxes.

But after the prime minister's attacks, model Dajana Kalo also reacted, who a short time ago was ill, in danger of death, but was saved thanks to the financial contribution collected through appeals on social networks and well-known influencers.

Through a reaction on social media, Dajana Kalo says that "if I had waited for the state, who knows how I would have ended up."

"Yes, I was cured thanks to social networks, thanks to Albanians who gave from their hearts, thanks to people who didn't know me at all. Because if I had expected it from the system, who knows how I would have ended up. And this is the greatest shame of a state: that a sick person is forced to seek help on Instagram to save his life. Instead of citizens relying on a health system that should protect them, they rely on mercy, solidarity and the hearts of people. In 2026, lives are saved by ordinary Albanians who open their wallets, while the system paid for with our taxes continues to fail. This is not a reason for pride. This is a reason for revolt! What about the one who doesn't have social networks? What about the one who isn't an influencer, isn't a public figure and doesn't have thousands of people to listen to their voice? What about the one who doesn't have the opportunity to go abroad to be cured? How does he do it? Who does he turn to? Who listens to him? Who saves him?", the model writes on Instagram.

The model also brings up the case of her parents, who passed away because they were neither influencers nor bloggers. She says that "the hope they had in medicine died with them."

"Oh yes, my parents who passed away were neither influencers nor bloggers. They did not have thousands of followers, they did not have the opportunity for their story to go viral. The hope they had in medicine here in Albania was extinguished with them. So, Mr. Prime Minister, this is why we come out and protest. For those who have no voice. For those who do not have the means. For those who lost the battle waiting for a system that was supposed to protect them. We have so many reasons to raise our voices that a status or a single protest is not enough. Because behind the statistics are hidden people, families, parents, children and stories of pain that no one should experience. We do not protest for fun, we protest because life, dignity and the future in this country should not be a luxury", emphasizes model Kalo

She writes that even though they are often prejudiced and attacked, they are the most beautiful faces of social media and people with big hearts. According to her, in many cases they have done more for people than entire institutions.

"And yes, you should be grateful for the Albanian influencers, bloggers, models and creators who are so prejudiced and attacked every day. Because they are not just beautiful faces on social networks. They are people with big hearts who have shown that when it comes to helping, raising awareness and saving lives, they are the first to stand up. They are the same Albanians who make us proud when they achieve international successes, when they represent Albania on the biggest stages in the world and never forget where they come from. They are the same ones who, wherever they go, proudly carry the Albanian name, speak proudly about their country and raise our flag high. So before you underestimate them, remember that in many cases they have done more for people than entire institutions. Not just figures of beauty, but figures of solidarity, humanism and Albanian pride", the model concludes her reaction
