e-Albania malfunction leaves businesses out of work again, SelfCare service and

The e-Albania platform continues to show problems with malfunctioning even today. At least since December of last year, the system has been experiencing numerous problems, with frequent interruptions of activity. Even after on May 18, the system was completely renovated with E-Albania 2.0, which was advertised as the newest platform, which will enable easier use for citizens, users say that not only has the service not improved, but on the contrary.

Businesses and accountants who raise concerns with Monitor are facing problems using the SelfCare platform through which they perform online administrative actions and a number of other services.

They claim that during access attempts, the system does not work, it does not allow you to log in. Businesses list a number of services that they are unable to receive, such as verification of local tax payments, deregistration of natural persons, etc.

Specifically, according to businesses, some of the services that are not working:

1. You cannot log in to SelfCare, the system displays the message "The page is not correct",

2. Accessing e-Albania presents difficulties and the platform opens with delays. While attempting to access the municipality's tax service, the message appears: "Creating a new session failed. Please try again later."

3. For the service "Application for deregistration of a natural person" if you click "Track Service" the system displays the message "No result", which means that the system has problems, because the application was made previously.

Likewise, pharmacy managers report that they need an electronic signature for their procedures, but are unable to obtain or use it due to the system's malfunction.

An economist claimed that he tried to open an application that turned out to be incomplete and cannot open it because it does not appear in the system.

Unanimously, businesses, economists, and accountants all claim that the situation with the system after the renovations where new technology was invested in, has appeared more problematic than before.

Regarding all the problems reported today by businesses, Monitor contacted the National Agency for the Information Society, which confirmed that it is verifying the situation.

Regarding the malfunctioning of the online service for local taxes, the situation has been problematic for 1 week.

Monitor previously contacted the General Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs, which informed that the difficulties are related to the process of migrating e-Albania to the new version of the system.

According to them, similar problems had appeared not only in local government services, but also in several other directorates and institutions that provide services through the e-Albania portal.

Due to the situation, local taxes offered a temporary solution for citizens and businesses that urgently need documentation. According to them, interested businesses can send the request via email and the notification of local tax obligations will be forwarded to them immediately by the administration.

For weeks now, both economists and businesses have been raising concerns that the regular malfunctioning of the online platform is penalizing them in carrying out daily procedures, from the simplest ones, applications for maternity leave, for works, etc., or applications for the active processing regime or those carried out by fason businesses. /Monitor
