Renowned actor Mehdi Malkaj joined the civic protest, where with an emotionally charged speech he addressed the protesters from the podium that Albania does not need to be called "new".

According to him, it has always been like this in spirit and identity, and its protection is a common obligation of citizens.

" I don't agree with 'New Albania'! Albania has always been young, always beautiful! Those we have in charge are out to tear it apart! We have a duty to protect our Albania! This is a sea of ​​love, people!", the actor said.

Following his speech, Malkaj also addressed Albanians in the region, calling for unity and historical remembrance of the sacrifices for the national flag.

"I appeal to Dardania, Kosovo, that they too have shed a lot of blood to raise the flag in Vlora! ", he added.

The actor's speech was greeted with applause by protesters, who continue to rally for the removal of Edi Rama.
