Yesterday evening, a 29-year-old man presented to the emergency room of Korça Hospital with injuries to various parts of his body.

According to information confirmed by the police, it is learned that the young man was raped about 13 days ago in the city of Kalkidhe, Greece, by Greek police officers.

Sources indicate that the 29-year-old, resident of Maliq, was detained and then raped after being mistaken for the perpetrator of a criminal offense. After verifications conducted by the Greek authorities, he was found innocent.

The young man, identified as Maldin Maxhari, filed a report with the Greek police about the violence inflicted on him. He was subsequently deported from Greek territory and returned to Albania through the Kakavija border crossing.

Due to his health condition and the injuries he sustained, he was taken to the Korça hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical attention. It is suspected that the 29-year-old suffered injuries to his ribs and spleen.
