Meta reacts to lifting sanctions on Berisha: Mafia conspiracy aimed at

PL President Ilir Meta has reacted after the news of the removal of the 'non-gratuity' for Sali Berisha from the United States of America. 

In his reaction, Meta states that it was all a conspiracy aimed at destroying political pluralism in Albania. He emphasizes that the McGoigal affair clearly proves the financing for the destruction of the opposition in the country.

"I cannot take any exception to the public stance I took five years ago, as President of the Republic, regarding the mafia conspiracy that aimed not only to annihilate political pluralism in Albania, but also to poison the historical and strategic relations between Albania and the United States of America."

"The McGonigal affair explains very clearly all the scandals that the corrupt Charles McGonigal financed to destroy pluralism and the opposition in Albania by misusing corrupt officials like McGonigal and many others," Meta wrote on Facebook.
