One of the suspected perpetrators of the incident that occurred the day before in Balldre, where a TNT explosion was recorded near the Nikulaj family's apartments, has been arrested.

According to the police, the arrested person is citizen AA, 55 years old. Meanwhile, his associate EZ, 35 years old, is also wanted.

"At the conclusion of the first investigative actions carried out by the special group under the direction of the Lezha Prosecution Office, to identify and capture the perpetrators of the event of 10.06.2026, in the village of Balldren i Vjetër, where a quantity of explosive material exploded on a piece of land (without causing damage), the Crime Investigation specialists at the Lezha Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AA, 55 years old, resident of Tirana.

"Following the actions, it was possible to identify and declare his accomplice, citizen EZ, 35 years old, resident of Kruja, wanted, and work continues to locate and capture him," the announcement states.
