The Democratic Party releases the 'dossier' of Rama's 13 years of

The Democratic Party's Anti-Corruption Spokesperson, Genta Vangjeli, has accused Edi Rama's government of a long history of corrupt affairs, clientelistic concessions and scandals that, according to her, have damaged public finances and citizens' trust in the state.

She listed a number of issues, from the agreement with CEZ, files 339 and 184, healthcare concessions and incinerators, to the McGonigal scandal, the Port of Durres and the patronage database.

According to Vangjeli, the SP's governance has been accompanied by corruption, impunity and clientelistic connections, while investigations into some of these issues are still ongoing.

On behalf of the Democratic Party, she declared that Prime Minister Edi Rama has lost public trust and moral legitimacy to lead the country, demanding his resignation.

FULL DECLARATION

For more than a decade, Albania has been immersed in an unstoppable series of scandals, corruption affairs, clientelistic concessions, and serious accusations that have accompanied Edi Rama's government.

Every year of his government has been marked by a new file, a new affair, a new scandal that has weighed on the pockets of Albanian citizens and undermined trust in the state, justice, and democracy.

From the agreement with CEZ, the issue of the drug plane in Divjaka, to the infamous Check-Up, Sterilization, Laboratories and Hemodialysis concessions, Albanians have seen how billions of public money have been transferred into the hands of a handful of government clients.

From files 339 and 184, to the links between politics and organized crime, from the 'New Ring' scandal to the collapse of the National Theater, from phantom incinerators to the database of patronage figures and the massive leak of citizens' personal data, each episode has produced more corruption, more impunity and more poverty for Albanians.

The international McGonigal scandal, the Port of Durres issue, strategic investors, the towers that sprout every day in Tirana with unjustified capital, '1 euro' contracts, shady deals and tenders with single bidders have created the purest model of state capture by clientelistic and oligarchic interests.

Even today, the incinerator dossier continues to weigh on the government, while new investigations into infrastructure tenders and other scandals continue to come to light.

Albanians cannot continue to pay the bill for corruption, propaganda, and abuse of power.

Faced with this long history of scandals, failures, and corrupt affairs, one thing is clear:

Edi Rama no longer has either the moral legitimacy or the public trust to govern Albania.
