Protests/ Lubonja: Rama's government relies on fear, but this generation is

Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on the massive protests that have been taking place for 10 days in Tirana and other parts of Albania and abroad.

Speaking to News24, he said the protests were surprising, while adding that the most beautiful part is the marches in Tirana.
" I felt that something that was not there at the beginning, that changed from experience or need. The fact that after the part where everyone gathers near the prime minister's office, up to the Lana bridge, ends, the march in Tirana starts. The march in Tirana gathers a lot of energy. That is probably the most beautiful part of what I have seen.

The first thing I want to say is that it was something unexpected for me too. We have also been in debates with the new parties. The idea was created that there were no civic protests. This is a politicization of a layer that is the youth, a beautiful one that arises from the need that a generation says; wait, we are here too. Rama has burned several generations. The generation of Erion Veliaj. The generation of 'Mjaft'. We are in the game now, will this protest be suppressed, or will it become massive", said Lubonja.

Among other things, Lubonja also focused on Rama's reactions.

"When you are confronted with a power, you start to get motivated because you want to win the battle. Not with weapons and violence, but you want to win the battle. You want resignation, he wants to stay in power because it is a matter of 'life or death'. This battle influences and aligns people, motivates them. An element that must be seen is the lack of fear.

One of the elements that Rama has had is fear. It is said that he has mobilized people to exert this pressure, whether on the oligarchs and the state, the administration. This challenge of fear is an element of youth, who live with less fear than our generations. Rama has a style of attacking. But it seems to me that he will continue with this approach. He is very far from resigning , "said Lubonja.
