The civic protest on the boulevard has entered its tenth day, with hundreds of citizens gathering again in the square to continue their rally against the government and demands for political change.

Among the day's speakers was comedian Gent Bejko, who delivered a speech with strong critical tones towards the Albanian political class over the years.

He expressed that, according to him, citizens' disappointment with politics has deep roots since the transition period after the '90s, when political changes did not bring, according to him, the expected transformation.

Bejko also emphasized that the emigration of many Albanians is also related to the lack of trust in the system and the refusal to become part of it under current conditions.

"We thought the regime changed in 1990, but the regime hasn't changed, they're the same. They want to divide us, they want to introduce all kinds of things here, but we don't divide, we don't get dirty. I fled Albania because I didn't want to sell my soul to evil. These people have sold their soul to evil, from Berisha to this one ," he said.

The comedian also called for the protest to continue and for citizens not to retreat, despite pressure or attempts to discourage them.

"They can't make fun of us. They say they will let us into Europe. We are Europe. We are not sold out. They are sold out. We will speak out, we will shout out, we will not remain silent ," Bejko said to the protesters.
