SPAK operation, 20 security measures executed, businessman in handcuffs

A large-scale operation by the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), conducted in cooperation with the State Police, has led to the execution of 20 security measures against persons suspected of involvement in criminal activity.

According to preliminary sources, the investigations are related to a structured criminal organization that is suspected of operating in the field of narcotics trafficking and laundering of proceeds of crime in significant amounts.

Among the arrested persons is businessman Orest Sota, while authorities continue the search for Ilir Shtufi, Artur Shehu, Edmond Jaupi and Orges Birçaj, who have not yet been located.

The operation is continuing in several areas of the country and it is expected that SPAK will issue an official announcement to make public the full details of the action, as well as the results of the investigation so far.
