The Assembly meets in plenary session today, 6 interpellations on the agenda

The Albanian Parliament holds its next plenary session this Thursday, in a tense political climate, as anti-government protests have entered their 12th consecutive day.

The focus of the session will be interpellations with members of the government cabinet and Prime Minister Edi Rama. A total of six interpellations are foreseen, most of which have been requested by opposition MPs on issues related to the administration of institutions and government policies.

The MPs will also seek clarifications from the Minister of Environment, Sofjan Jaupaj, the Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, as well as the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, against whom two separate interpellations are planned.

AGENDA:

In support of order no. 37, dated 9.6.2026 of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Ms. Klodiana Spahiu, the agenda is as follows:

1. Approval of the minutes of the plenary session of 4.6.2026.

2. Notifications.

3. Urgent interpellation with the Minister of Environment, Mr. Sofjan Jaupaj, requested by a group of deputies of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group.

4. Urgent interpellation with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Besfort Lamallari, requested by a group of deputies of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group.

5. Interpellation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, requested by MP Agron Shehaj.

6. Interpellation with the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, requested by MP Enno Bozdo.

7. Interpellation with the Minister of Finance, Mr. Petrit Malaj, requested by MPs Agron Shehaj and Erald Kapri.
