New details from the disappearance of the 34-year-old, police move the search

Investigations to uncover the fate of 34-year-old Eglant Koçi continue intensively, while the police have expanded their searches to several areas of the Tirana district, where it is suspected that traces related to the incident may be found.

After the searches conducted in Krrabë, Elbasan and Librazhd, the search teams have now focused on the Qafëmolla and Pëllumbas areas, as reported by A2 CNN. According to police sources, these are areas that are suspected to be well known and frequently frequented by 41-year-old Armand Shakaj, identified by authorities as the suspected perpetrator of the crime.

Sources close to the investigation indicate that there are suspicions that Shakaj's vehicle was seen in the Pëllumbas area after the incident, which has prompted the police to intensify checks in this area. In parallel with the search for the 34-year-old's body, efforts to locate and arrest the 41-year-old are also continuing.

Armand Shakaj was the focus of the investigation from the very first days after Eglant Koçi's disappearance was reported by her family. He was among the first people to be accompanied and questioned by the police.

According to investigative data, from the verification of telephone records it resulted that the last person with whom Koçi had communicated on the phone was Shakaj. Questioned by the officers of the Police Station No. 2, the 41-year-old stated that he had no knowledge of Koçi's whereabouts and that he himself was concerned about his disappearance.

Sources indicate that after leaving the police station, Shakaj was confronted by the 34-year-old's family and relatives, to whom he told them that he was concerned about his absence and that, if they found him, they should ask him to call him.
