A criminal group suspected of providing and selling firearms, explosives and combat ammunition in various areas of Tirana has been targeted. As part of the operation, 4 people have been arrested, while 2 others are wanted.

According to the Police, arrest warrants were executed by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for citizens MV, 35 years old, EM, 25 years old, FZ, 29 years old, and KB, 32 years old. Meanwhile, citizens KV, 21 years old, and BA, 28 years old, have been declared wanted.

"The investigations suspect that these persons, together with five previously arrested citizens, identified with the initials DJ, F. Gj., UM, LM and KM, acted as an organized group for the provision and sale of weapons, explosives and combat ammunition.

During the operation, 7 firearms were seized, specifically 4 pistols and 3 automatic rifles, as well as combat ammunition and other items that will serve the investigation.

"The police inform that during the entire investigation period and the actions carried out to crack down on this criminal group, a total of 9 people were arrested, while 17 firearms, 4 explosives, a significant amount of ammunition, 4 vehicles and 13 mobile phones were seized," the announcement states.
