'Revolution', 'Rama resign'/ Protesters do not retreat,

Even after more than four hours of protest, thousands of citizens continue to remain on the streets of Tirana, refusing to disperse and continuing their march through the capital calling for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

It is past 10:00 PM and the protesters' energy seems to have not waned. After gathering in front of the Prime Minister's Office and marching on some of the city's main thoroughfares, citizens continue to move in groups, chanting slogans against the government and demanding the resignation of the head of the executive.

"Rama out", "New Albania", "Join us" and "Down with corruption" are some of the calls heard during the march, while participants consider this protest as a civic reaction to corruption, misgovernment and the economic situation in the country.

The crowd includes young people, family members, retirees, and citizens from different parts of the country, who have been standing for hours in one of the longest protests in recent days.

This is the ninth day of the civic mobilization, while organizers and participants say that the protest will not stop until their demands are heard. Even in the late evening hours, the streets of Tirana continue to be filled with citizens marching peacefully, turning the capital into the center of civic resistance against the government.
