DP: Berat administration was forced to participate in Rama's rally, employees were threatened with their jobs

DP: Berat administration was forced to participate in Rama's rally,

The Democratic Party of Berat has accused the government of forcing employees of the state administration, public entities and local government to participate in the rally organized in Tirana on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party.

Through a reaction on Facebook, Democratic MP Enno Bozdo declares that the Berat administration has left the offices to participate in what he describes as an "anti-meeting", claiming that employees have faced pressure and threats to their jobs.

According to Bozdo, the organization of the participation began a few days ago, while the DP claims to have received complaints from administration employees, who were summoned by the heads of institutions to appear at the activity held in Tirana.

The Democratic MP called on administration employees not to obey political orders and addressed the Berat Prosecutor's Office to investigate allegations of using the administration for party activities.

"36 years after the fall of the communist regime, pressures on citizens and the administration are returning. Berat belongs to the citizens and not to political parties," says Bozdo in his reaction.

He adds that public administration should be at the service of citizens and not engage in political activities during working hours.
