A police officer has ended his life in Tirana, committing suicide with his service weapon.
The officer with the initials IS, around 34 years old, is suspected of suffering from psychological problems.
"On 14.06.2026, at around 01:25, in Fresk, in an apartment, it is suspected that citizen IS, 30 years old, a police officer, committed suicide with his service weapon.
"The investigative group, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the case ," the announcement states.
