While the massive protest against the government has been continuing for 15 days in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where citizens are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his cabinet, an unexpected development has come from within the ranks of the Socialist Party.

MP Marjana Koçeku, also known as "Neo Malësorja", has announced that from today she will exercise her mandate as an independent MP, distancing herself from the SP parliamentary group.

In a response published on social media, she writes that her values ​​and ideals have been and remain unchanged, despite her political engagement. According to her, these principles also define the boundaries of her political cooperation.

"From today on, I am an independent MP. My ideals and values ​​are those I have had and expressed since before I was associated with a party. They define my boundaries," she wrote.
