Video/ "Kushner is not negotiating, he is reaching a f*ck", Rama loses

Prime Minister Edi Rama became tense again during an interview with American journalist Ines de La Cuetara of the MS NOW network, who was in Tirana to report on the protests that have taken place in recent weeks.

During the conversation, the head of government was asked about the investment project in Zvërnec and the benefits it is expected to bring to the Albanian economy. Rama defended the project, arguing that an investment of such magnitude will generate significant income for the country.

Responding to concerns raised by protesters, who claim that benefits will not be distributed to citizens, Rama said:

" What does this mean? This is an ideological joke, because an investment of this magnitude in tourism is to build something spectacular and of course it is not accessible to everyone, but it brings a lot of income for everyone because the country benefits a lot."

The most tense moment of the interview came when the journalist asked him if there was a conflict of interest, given that investor Jared Kushner is the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, while at the same time being involved in major business projects in various countries.

"What conflict of interest? What are you talking about? Jared Kushner is not negotiating. He is reaching for a f*ck. Once again, you need to understand," the prime minister said.

He added that the collaboration with Kushner had begun at a time when Donald Trump's political future was still unclear.

" When Jared Kushner and Ivanka came here and we started working together, it was not clear whether Trump would go to prison or to the White House," Rama declared.

According to him, the project is now not only linked to Kushner, but also to other international investors.

"It's still being negotiated and now it's not like it was at the beginning, because it's not just Jared Kushner. It's Power Holding, one of the biggest companies in Qatar, which belongs to two friends of mine, two fantastic brothers from Qatar," he said.

Rama then criticized the American media's interest in this issue, suggesting that the debate is more related to the figure of Trump than to Albania.

"What do you want here? Go fight Trump in the United States. Don't come here to fight Trump. This makes no sense," the prime minister said.

He also ridiculed the arguments raised about the project's impact on the environment.

"Do you want me to believe that suddenly the American media, American influencers, the American world are taking care of some flamingos in Albania?" Rama declared.

At the end of the interview, the Prime Minister ruled out the possibility of resignation, emphasizing that controversies are part of major transformation processes.

"I'm used to this. The bigger the dream and ambition, the greater the resistance. That's how countries grow ," he concluded.
