Albania protests and demands his removal, Rama presents his sculptures in Zurich

For more than two weeks, thousands of citizens in Tirana and many others abroad have taken to the streets to protest, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The rallies have been accompanied by calls against the government and dissatisfaction with the way it is being governed.

Protesters have expressed their dissatisfaction every day that the social and economic situation in the country has deteriorated, while their main demand remains the removal of the current government.

Despite this situation, Prime Minister Edi Rama is currently in Zurich, where he participated in the international contemporary art fair "Art Basel". There he presented some of his sculptures, in an event that brings together artists, collectors and elite galleries from around the world.

This development has aroused even more dissatisfaction in public opinion, as it creates a stark contrast between the protests in the streets of Tirana and the prime minister's personal engagements on the international art scene.

Earlier, Rama confirmed that the visit to Switzerland was at the private invitation of Art Basel, where his artworks were also exhibited, while the travel and stay were paid for by him and his wife.
