Teacher from the protest: Universities have become havens of corruption,

During the protest held in Tirana, professor Lush Susaj delivered a speech critical of the education system and the way universities in Albania function.

In his statement, Susaj said that Albanian society needs responsible citizens and not "scammers", emphasizing that students are the most affected in the last 35 years.

Susaj also said that educational institutions are not at the service of citizens, but of narrow interests, also criticizing appointments to the management of schools and universities.

"Greetings, honorable fellow citizens. I express respect for every protester, because today more than ever Albania needs responsible citizens, not rioters. I express gratitude and pain for the students of Albania, the most delicate and most massacred part of them in these 35 years. O Albanians, my fellow countrymen, there is no worse place than Albania that has massacred schools.

"Dear students, a man who educated his own child in Albania speaks to you. The Soros clique has turned the universities of Albania into a haven for corruption. Intellectuals are not given a chance, but the scoundrels and nepotism of the party. Today, the school was not put in the service of citizens, but of thieves. No one ever listened to the students and pupils of Albania, but people from the party and the prime minister were put in charge of the schools. Be responsible people. Never delay the education of your children again! Be responsible and vote for those who keep you in universities ," he said.
