After several days of searching, the body of 37-year-old Armando Zajzi, who had been missing since June 15th in Lake Ulza, was found this Tuesday evening.

According to preliminary data, Zajzi, a resident of Laç, is suspected to have fallen into the water after losing control of the boat he was driving. Since the moment of the incident, search and rescue forces have conducted intensive operations to locate him.

Police announced that the body of the 37-year-old was found in the waters of the lake, while forensic expertise is expected to determine the exact cause of death.

"Following the preliminary information regarding the event of 15.06.2026, which occurred in Lake Ulza, where citizen AZ, 37 years old, resident of Laç, is suspected of drowning after losing control of the boat and falling into the water, we inform you that:

After two days of intensive searches, at around 8:00 p.m. today, the services of the RENEA divers' unit, in cooperation with the services of the Mat Police Commissariat, the Armed Forces, the Fire Protection and Rescue Service, volunteer forces and family members, made it possible to find, remove from the lake and identify the lifeless body of citizen AZ.

"The body will be transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for forensic medical examination and examination," the police announced.
