A well-organized document forgery laboratory has been discovered as part of the police operation "Generalities" in Tirana, leading to the arrest of three people and the seizure of a significant amount of suspected forged materials.

Investigations conducted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Prosecution, have uncovered a suspected scheme where diplomas, court certificates and other official documents were produced and distributed in exchange for payments ranging from 3 thousand to 5 thousand euros.

According to authorities, the environment was specially adapted for this activity, while investigations continue to identify other possible accomplices.

Tirana/The operation codenamed "Generalities" is being finalized by the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office.

A laboratory for document forgery is discovered, for amounts of 3,000-5,000 euros.

46 suspected forged documents (school, court, certification and application), 2 suspected fake stamps, 6 mobile phones and 3 computers were seized.

Three citizens were arrested: a father and son who had made their apartment available for this criminal activity, and their accomplice.

As a result of well-organized investigative and operational work, carried out by specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of documenting the criminal activity of several citizens, suspected of being involved in an organized manner, in document forgery, in an environment adapted for this purpose, the operation codenamed "Generalities" has been finalized.

During the operation, the suspected perpetrators of this case, citizens HM, 53 years old and SM, 24 years old, father and son, and citizen EV, 37 years old, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

During the checks, it turned out that the arrested had adapted the apartment of citizens HM and SM, in the village of Rrushkull, Durrës, for the falsification of documents such as: diplomas, other school documents, certificates, court certificates and documents for applications to various institutions. In this environment, 2 fake stamps, 6 mobile phones and 3 computers, which are suspected of serving this criminal activity, as well as dozens of suspected fake documents, were found.

The investigation continues to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have collaborated with the arrested for this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
