Anti-cannabis operation in Kurbin, one person arrested, accomplice sought

Kurbin police have finalized another operation as part of the crackdown on cannabis cultivation, this time in the village of Fushë Gjormë.

During the intervention, a citizen was arrested, while work continues to capture a suspected accomplice in this criminal activity.

In the territory of the village, 1,820 suspected narcotic plants of the Cannabis Sativa species were found and destroyed by burning.

Two vehicles, a cell phone, and other items that are expected to assist the investigation in fully documenting the case have been seized as material evidence.

Authorities report that anti-cannabis controls are continuing throughout the district, while the materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha for further action.
