Suspected of laundering money for Luciano Kocek's group, police officer wanted by SPAK surrenders

A person wanted by the justice system has surrendered himself at the premises of the Tirana Local Police Directorate.

This concerns Erjon Rama, who is suspected of being part of a criminal group and against whom the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) had imposed the security measure of "prison arrest".

According to the investigations, Rama is accused of having played a role in laundering money derived from illegal activities of a group led by Luçiano Koçeku, also known as Artur Koçeku.

After increased checks by special structures to locate him, the suspect decided to surrender himself, reporting to the police to face the charges brought by SPAK.

"The Police Supervision Agency (AMP), in continuation of its continuous commitment to the fight against illegality and guaranteeing the integrity of public officials, has successfully finalized another investigative operation within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 238 of 2026, led by the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan.

In accordance with the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, AMP has executed personal security measures against three citizens suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property, committed in collaboration", provided for by Article 109/bi of the Criminal Code.

The security measures executed are as follows:

▪️ Glodian Gëzim Ahmetaj, who at the time of the commission of the criminal offense was Director of the Elbasan-Korça Regional Directorate, against whom the security measure "Prohibition of leaving the country" and "Report to the Judicial Police" has been imposed.

▪️ Devis Ramadan Ago, who at the time of the commission of the criminal offense was Head of Sector at the Elbasan-Korça Regional Directorate, against whom the security measure "Report to the Judicial Police" has been imposed.

▪️ Klevis Ramadan Hoxha, acting Chief of Municipal Police at the Municipality of Devoll, against whom the security measures "Report to the Judicial Police" and "Prohibition of leaving the country" have been imposed.

As part of the operation, all procedural obligations determined by the court were executed, and three house searches authorized by the proceeding authority were conducted, with the aim of administering evidence and fully documenting the suspected criminal activity.

This operation once again proves the professionalism, determination and independence of the AMP's investigative structures in handling cases where there is suspicion of involvement of public officials or persons associated with law enforcement institutions in illegal activities.
