Shehaj against protesters' demands: We will go to the elections with Rama

The leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, has spoken out against the protesters' demands for the immediate removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that the solution must come through the electoral process.

In a statement to journalists from the Parliament courtyard, Shehaj emphasized that those who expect salvation from a possible technical or transitional government, one of the protesters' demands, have no chance of this happening.

We recall that Shehaj attempted to be part of the protest, but the citizens did not allow him.

Excerpt from the statement:

Shehaj : For all those who are waiting and looking for salvation in a possible technical or transitional government, there is no chance of this happening. Because those who are there in that parliament will never vote for an honest prime minister. They can choose whoever they want, they can choose the best that Albania has, they can even bring him from abroad. They are there to serve the corrupt, to serve Edi Rama, Taulant Balla, this corrupt government, the oligarchs, organized crime and not the Albanian citizens. The only solution is... are early elections. This parliament must be dissolved as soon as possible and people who represent the citizens, who represent the protesters, must be elected. There are protesters there, there are ordinary citizens who have nothing to do with this scum that is in parliament.

Journalist : How are we going to go to the elections with Edi Rama as prime minister when the protesters have demanded another solution, a technical transitional government. Do you believe we can go to the elections with Edi Rama?

Shehaj : Protesters... then I believe, I believe that there is only one solution and these are elections. I believe that we do not decide because it is up to this parliament how it will be held in the elections and this parliament is controlled by Edi Rama. So all those who think that early elections can be held without the consent of Edi Rama, there is no chance of this happening.
