Bardhi: The Assembly session was conducted via SMS, opposition MPs were denied

The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, stated that the Assembly session was conducted via SMS.

In a statement to the media, Bardhi stated that the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, was not acting independently during the session, but was guided through internal communications and political influences.

According to him, opposition MPs have been denied the right to speak on procedural issues, while the prime minister has been criticized for his absence from the session and for not being accountable for the demands of citizens who have been protesting for days.

"In an unprecedented manner, the Speaker of the Assembly denied the floor to opposition MPs who had requested their right to speak on procedure. The Prime Minister must appear in the plenary session to account for the demands that citizens have been protesting for 18 days. The second reason was the proposal that I would make in my capacity as the chairman of the DP parliamentary group to add to the agenda discussions on the report voted yesterday with an overwhelming majority by the EP. The Assembly should not have had any other topic for discussion. Closing the Assembly so that opposition MPs do not have the opportunity to give a voice to the citizens, this can only happen by a puppet like Niko Peleshi, of Taulant Balla. Today the session was conducted by SMS. Taulant Balla took the floor as many times as he wanted. A proven liar like Taulant Balla who lied to Rama, which is why Rama made the blunder, yesterday the EP called on Rama and the socialist majority to repeal the changes to the law on protected areas", he said White.
