Brazil without Neymar in second World Cup match, striker rested

The Brazilian national team will continue without Neymar in the second group stage match at the World Cup held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

The Santos striker has not been included in the squad for the match against Haiti, which takes place on Friday night, after the technical staff decided to leave him out for recovery reasons.

According to sources close to the team, coach Carlo Ancelotti and his staff have chosen not to take any risks with the 34-year-old, who has just joined the team and is working to achieve optimal form.

Neymar is staying at Brazil's training base in New Jersey, where he is following a recovery and physical preparation program. There is still no exact date for his return to the field, while the aim is for him to be fully ready for the decisive matches of the tournament.
