The Transparency Board ceases to function

The Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, has announced that the Transparency Board will cease to function, arguing that the situation in the hydrocarbon market has returned to normal.

According to Ibrahimaj, the decision was made after improving market conditions and stabilizing fuel prices, which have shown a downward trend in recent weeks.

She emphasized that the board was established as a temporary mechanism within the framework of the hydrocarbons law, to cope with strong price fluctuations in international markets.

The Minister underlined that international stock markets have currently stabilized, while recent developments have had a positive impact on the normalization of supply and the market. According to her, the reaching of an agreement that is expected to lead to the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz has also helped reduce uncertainties.

"Given the stability created in the hydrocarbon market, we have decided to conclude the functioning of the Transparency Board ," Ibrahimaj declared.
