Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati has reacted on social media regarding the recent protests taking place in the country, rejecting claims that participants in them are influenced by foreign factors or social media algorithms.

In his message, Bushati emphasizes that the protesters are dissatisfied and revolted citizens, who, according to him, have a clear awareness of the consequences of the connection between politics, oligarchy, media and organized crime.

"They are not driven by Iran, nor by algorithms, and even less lost in their goals. They are Albanians revolted by the treatment of their homeland as plunder. Aware of the consequences of the harmful alliance between politics, oligarchy, media and organized crime. They are citizens who believe that Albania deserves more: more justice, more dignity, more hope and more opportunities for all.
Every passing day strengthens the conviction that the New Albania is not simply an aspiration, but an inevitable chapter that must be embraced. This is a moment that requires deep reflection, wisdom and responsibility ," he writes on social networks.
