The 22nd protest against Rama begins, thousands of citizens in the square

The 22nd mass protest in Tirana began this Sunday afternoon, where citizens gathered in "Skënderbej Square" to then settle in front of the Prime Minister's Office where they will demand the removal of the government and the unconditional resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

As happened in yesterday's protest, the diaspora is expected to be part of the revolt, with immigrants flocking en masse to Tirana under the motto: When Albania calls, its sons respond.

The protest is considered the culmination of civic mobilization after three weeks of non-stop demonstrations.

The revolt has now transcended its initial cause and has transformed into a broader movement against corruption, misgovernment, lack of accountability, and the mass exodus of young people from the country.

Protesters have declared that the revolt will not stop until Rama's non-negotiable resignation.
