Accident in Berat, motorbike hits Dutch tourist at white lines

A ROAD ACCIDENT has been recorded in the city of Berat, along the promenade known as "River Road", where a foreign tourist was injured after being hit by a motorcycle.

According to preliminary information, a 35-year-old man riding a motorcycle on this road segment hit a 53-year-old Dutch citizen, identified by the initials VJ, as the latter was crossing the road on the white lines together with a group of tourists.

After the accident, the injured person was urgently transported to the Berat Regional Hospital, where he received the necessary medical assistance. Hospital sources indicate that his life is out of danger and continues to be kept under medical observation.

Traffic specialists intervened at the scene, carried out procedural actions and escorted the driver of the motorcycle, citizen BM, 35 years old, resident of Berat. Investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
