While the civic protest against the government has entered its 23rd day and so far there has been no official reaction from representatives of the executive or the Socialist Party parliamentary group, the first reactions from the ranks of the majority have begun to appear.

A few hours after tens of thousands of protesters from Albania and the diaspora gathered and surrounded the Prime Minister's Office building, two socialist MPs Lindita Nikolla and Evis Kushi reacted almost simultaneously on social media.

Lindita Nikolla and Evis Kushi, in separate messages but with similar tones, have expressed concern about the climate of political debate and communication on social networks, emphasizing that, although protest is a constitutional right and an essential element of democracy, it cannot be accompanied by insults, lynchings or personal attacks against political opponents or any citizen who thinks differently.
