Rama opened his mouth against the protesters, Berisha: He insulted Albanians in

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements in an interview with the Financial Times, where the latter responded to the accusations of protesters who have described him as the "Godfather" of corruption in Albania.

During the interview, Rama stated that he does not consider it his duty to prove his innocence in the face of these accusations, but that the burden of proof lies with those who make them.

"It's not my job to prove I'm not the Godfather, it's their job to prove I am. People say I'm the leader of all this. I tell them 'fuck you'. Simple as that," he said in the interview.

Following these statements, Berisha accused Rama of using offensive language against Albanians in one of the most popular international media outlets, calling his rhetoric unacceptable for a prime minister.

In a statement to the media, Berisha said that the language used by Rama towards Albanian citizens was not used by authoritarian leaders like Muammar Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein towards their peoples.

According to the opposition leader, Rama's statements demonstrate a contemptuous attitude towards Albanian citizens and have caused surprise even among those present at the interview.

During his speech, he also greeted the protesters who, according to him, have continued to mobilize against the government despite the high temperatures, calling on citizens and the Albanian diaspora to continue their engagement in the protests against the government.

PART OF THE DECLARATION

Secondly, I once again greet the tens of thousands of citizens, who in exceptional conditions of unprecedented heat, filled the streets and boulevards of Tirana again yesterday until the early hours of the morning, demanding the immediate departure of the narco-dictator.
I call on Albanian citizens, big and small, to join this protest at any time and in any case.
This magnificent protest that sows hope in every Albanian heart.
I call on the diaspora to remain, as it has been until today, engaged in this great mission of saving Albania from a regime that in many aspects has damaged the Albanian nation in its existence more than any other regime before it.
I condemn with the greatest force the unqualified insults that Edi Rama makes to Albanians in the largest international media.
I guarantee that neither Gaddafi, nor Saddam, nor Maduro have allowed themselves the language that Edi Rama has used in the Financial Times against Albanians.
This has proven the boundless hatred he has for Albanian citizens.
His insult was shocking for the journalist and the audience present.
Edi Rama does not behave like a godfather, much worse than the godfather of Albania.
Edi Rama considers Albania a sultanate of past times, in which he himself makes himself the sultan, judge, policeman and every other function.
Edi Rama should leave a minute ago.
Even if he goes behind the sun, he goes like a peerless thief of his nation.
He goes like the man who built the first and only narco-state in Europe in Albania.
He went like a traitor to a nation that did everything, committed a calculated genocide against it to drive Albanians out of Albania, a fierce enemy of Albanians in Albania, in Kosovo and everywhere in the world.
