Rama "threatens" mayors: I have information that you are coming to

Prime Minister Edi Rama has criticized and warned several mayors, asking them not to leave their duties in the field to come to Tirana, including for activities or protests.

Panicked by the protests, Rama claimed that he has received repeated complaints from citizens, especially in the southeast of the country and on the Tirana-Korça axis, about the absence of some local leaders in their communities.

With an ultimatum, but without mentioning names, Rama asked them not to travel to Tirana anymore.

"I'm closing with a remark about some of the mayors, I don't want to mention them by name. They have become a bit of a problem for the community, as they don't stay in the community all week, but come to Tirana even on the days when they should be on duty there. This practice must end. It's not all of them, but it's some."

I believe that I have all your understanding to address this concern an hour ago, which is a concern that has come to me repeatedly from some of your communities, mainly in the southeast of the country, on the Tirana-Korca axis. I am speaking about the elected representatives of the Socialist Party on the Tirana-Korca axis. I do not have it for Sotiraq nor for the minister. To close with a sweet smile and not turn into a bitter smile for anyone", declared Rama.
