Quarrel in Vlora, Ukrainian woman denounces Albanian couple: They beat us

A Ukrainian citizen, who has been living in Albania for four years, has reported an incident that occurred in the building she rents in Vlora, a conflict that she says started because of her small dog and then degenerated into swearing, physical confrontations and allegations of violence against the animal.

According to the complainant, the incident occurred about two months ago at the entrance of the building where she lives with her husband. She claims that the conflict began after an Albanian woman refused to board the elevator due to the presence of her dog, claiming that she was allergic to dogs.

In the video filmed by the Ukrainian citizen herself, a verbal argument can be heard between the Ukrainian couple and an Albanian couple. In the footage, the Albanian woman can be heard stating that dogs are not allowed in shared spaces and that she is allergic to them, while the debate then escalates with harsh tones from both sides.

According to the complainant, after the initial argument, the Albanian couple knocked on her apartment door and the conflict continued in the hallway of the building. In the video, mutual insults and accusations can be heard in different languages, while at some points the situation seems to escalate into physical contact between the people involved.

The Ukrainian woman also claims that during the conflict the Albanian man kicked her small dog, a moment that she says is visible in the video. She also claims that during the clash an attempt was made to take away her phone with which she was filming the incident.

In her complaint, she states that the case has been reported to the police, but claims that no concrete measures have been taken so far. She also raises concerns that another neighbor has installed surveillance cameras in front of her apartment and that, according to her, she has been facing constant complaints regarding the presence of the dog in the building for a long time.

On the other hand, in conversations with the editorial staff, the complainant disputes the neighbor's claim that she is allergic to dogs, stating that other pets live in the same building and that her dog is equipped with all the relevant documents and vaccinations./JOQ
