Kurti won the elections: We are starting the work to elect the new government

The leader of the Vetëvendosje movement, Albin Kurti, has reiterated his position that after the certification of the results of the June 7 elections, discussions will begin with other political parties on the formation of new institutions.

Except, according to him, the new government must be elected first and then the president.

"As soon as the election results are certified, we will begin work and discussions on the formation of new institutions. The constitution of the 11th legislature of the assembly, the formation of the new government and the election of the president," Kurti said.

Commenting on this issue as acting prime minister, at a government meeting, also in office, he said that the June 7 elections were not necessary, and that their results should be accepted and respected, and the will of the people implemented.

" I congratulate the citizens on the free, democratic electoral process. Kosovo did not need these elections and this result proves what we have said repeatedly before they took place. In any case, the citizens spoke clearly again.

"The result must be accepted and respected, and the will of the people must be implemented and translated into functional democratic institutions committed and dedicated to development and welfare, education and health, security and defense, industry and production, and major infrastructure investments ," Kurti said.

In the June 7 elections, the Vetëvendosje Movement came first again with 47.13 percent./Kosovapress
