The European Democratic Party political group has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements in his interview with the Financial Times, where he insulted the protesters by saying "fuck you".

In a statement, the European Democrats said that Rama responded to the protesters with accusations, evasion of responsibility and derogatory language, instead of addressing their concerns.

The response emphasizes that when citizens raise questions about protected lands, money laundering, and the use of power, the response should be transparency and respect, not insults.

"In his interview with the Financial Times, Edi Rama responded to citizens protesting against the Kushner-linked resort with accusations, evasion of responsibility and contempt. Calling the square a foreign conspiracy, or responding with "fuck you" to those who demand answers, is not leadership. When people ask about protected lands, money laundering and power, democracy demands respect. The square should be heard, not insulted. Albania deserves transparency, not arrogance," the statement of the European Democratic Party reads.
