Protesters' demands, Berisha: DP supports limiting the prime

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha declared that the Democratic Party supports the protesters' demand to limit the prime minister's term to 2 terms.

Berisha said that the DP is ready to vote for him because Rama is not allowing the rotation of power.

"First, in the demands read and presented by Goxhaj, the immediate resignation of Edi Rama is reiterated. This demand we support without any reservation, strongly and we have the same call. Secondly, it is requested, make no mistake, no I am not mistaken at all that this is among the first five demands, adding there the limitation of the prime minister's mandate to two terms.

The Democratic Party completely agrees. Completely agrees! As of tomorrow, it is ready to vote in parliament and call on citizens to vote for such a measure.

"Why? Why this? Because it became clear that Edi Rama does not allow the rotation of power. He does not allow it. For this, not because we say so, international documents already say so. Then there is a wisdom, to define it in the constitution, to remove it in the constitution ," said Berisha.
