He killed his brother, the testimony of the 76-year-old: He gave the tractor gas

A conflict over property issues between two brothers is suspected to have led to the tragic event that occurred on Wednesday evening in the village of Agonas, Kavaja.

During police questioning, Muharrem Rrashka stated that there was an old conflict between him and his brother related to a road that he claimed passed through his land.

"Eqerem and I have an old conflict. About a road that is part of my property. He used to use it to drive a tractor and damage my land. We had clashed several times. I had told him not to drive anymore because it is my property.

He passed by again last night with a tractor because he was going to his land to load bales of hay. I told him not to pass. He ignored me. He gave the tractor gas and almost hit me. I was in front of the tractor and I drove away at that moment.

"There we started arguing fiercely. In the midst of the conflict, I stabbed him several times. I am very sorry that it ended like this. I did not intend to use the knife, but during the fight, in the heat of the moment, I stabbed him. I deeply regret it," the 76-year-old stated, among other things.

Meanwhile, the Kavaja police have taken measures to further escalate the conflict with other family members, and have therefore deployed a police patrol in the village of Agonas in Kavaja.
