Rain does not deter protesters, they gather at "Skënderbej"

Despite the unstable weather and rain, citizens gathered again this Wednesday in "Skënderbej" Square in Tirana, to join the 25th consecutive protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.

Since the early hours of the evening, the organization of protesters has begun, who continue to demand the immediate and non-negotiable resignation of the prime minister, considering his departure as the main condition for resolving the political crisis in the country.

Today's rally is seen as another important moment of civic mobilization, after more than three weeks of daily protests in the capital and other cities.

According to protesters, the movement has now transcended its initial cause and has turned into a broader revolt against corruption, misgovernment, lack of transparency and accountability, as well as against the phenomenon of mass emigration of young Albanians.

It is expected that after gathering at Skanderbeg Square, the protesters will march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where they will reiterate their demands for political change and the removal of the current government.
