Erotic messages during official hours, ILD demands dismissal of KLP member

The High Inspectorate of Justice has requested the dismissal of the member of the High Prosecutorial Council, Olger Eminaj, following a disciplinary investigation related to a sexual scandal. The case has now been forwarded to the Constitutional Court for review and decision-making.

The investigation against Eminaj began after the publication of his communications with a citizen with the initials RM, initially on social networks and then on the WhatsApp application, where the conversations took on an erotic character.

According to materials published by the "Media and Justice Association" and broadcast on the "STOP" show, it is suspected that the communications included sending materials with explicit content, including intimate photos, during working hours and within the premises of the institution where he performs his duties.

The case was reported at the end of March, while the ILD immediately initiated disciplinary verifications. After the completion of the investigations, the report of the High Inspector of Justice was sent on June 1 to the competent body for review.

Initially, the case was addressed to the Special Appeals Chamber, but after the cessation of the functioning of this institution, the file was transferred to the Constitutional Court, which has already appointed the rapporteur for the case, Judge Marjana Semini.
